Ann, Go to Account (top right) -> Edit friends. At top of page, there is a "Create New List" button.

I must be missing something here because when I go to my pages section or my groups, I do not see a way to add lists.

Yes, you can post a status update to just one (or more) lists. Before clicking on 'share', click the drop down button next to it to select which individuals or lists you'd like to see your update. Only those people will be able to see it. Of course, there is not guarantee that they *will* see it, though. If you want that, send an email.

Ahem, Theresa, you don't think I'd have that list visible now, do you? :)

Thanks!! Can I also post only to particular lists? If someone looks at my wall directly, will they see posts not intended for them? And why didn't I see the list entitled, "Friends who ask Lots of Questions?!"

Cool! With the frequent redesigns, we've got to figure out workarounds to keep an eye on our favorite content on Facebook. This one isn't perfect, but it seems to help.

Great trick Irene! I am going to use it. I was not aware that fan pages could be added to lists.
